Travel Blog of a French Au Pair

Former French au pair Elisabeth Hurel spent a year and nine months in the USA with two host families. She spent her first year in Maryland caring for one boy and her extension term in Washington state with two girls. Her wise advice to all au pairs is this: “When you’re about to start looking for a family, don’t focus on the destination, but on the family. During your year you will have the opportunity to travel a lot and to realize some of your biggest dreams just like I did! So pick the right family for you first, and travel will come next. If you don’t do it this way, your dreams might be compromised.” During her time in the U.S., Elisabeth traveled a lot and even started her own travel blog: http://allofmytrains.fr/1555349_10151979695934335_677151695_n
